Display Ads
The more you tell, the more you sell

Example
A bigger ad not only gets more attention, it lets you say more. And the bigger the size of the ad, the more calls you're likely to get*.
Display ads appear at the beginning of a classification and follow in order from largest to smallest, with same sized ads in order from longest tenure to newest.
New Pagination Logic
The principle of the new logic is based on the key fact that users read up and down columns.
We try and place all display advertisements as close as possible to the front of the classification. The exceptions to this are as follows
- Web guides will always appear immediately following the classification header
- As the directory is made up of grids, 16 in total. The first grid will always contain
either a web
guide or listings and/or typesets sorted alphabetically as it is not technically possible for us to
place a display advert into the first grid - Where the first display advertisement based on size can't fit in the space on the
page under
the classification header, listings and /or typeset entries will be used to fill this space.
No longer will listings and / or typeset entries appear in between display advertisements. Listing and / or typesets now only appear at the front the classification and or the back of all display advertisements. Where it is not possible to continue with the logical flow of display advertisements based on size, filler advertisements will be used to fill this space
Rationale for this change
We have received much feedback over a number of years and we believe this new logic is fairer to advertisers based on their level of investment in our product and it makes it easier for users to find what they are looking for.
